DiscipleTrips

Welcome Circle in Belize

Have you ever wanted to go on an International Mission Trip? Perhaps you’ve wondered what it would be like to work alongside a local missionary and learn for yourself what it means to “go and make disciples of all nations.”  Maybe you’ve thought mission work was just for the “professionals” and your job is just to “send.”  Well, DiscipleTrips is here to make missions accessible to nearly anyone who has a desire to be involved in mission work.

This September photograph is a perfect example of the thrill and value of short-term missions.  Here you see a group from various places in the U.S. who formed a team to do mission work for a week in Belize last July.  We partnered with Ray Gordon (pictured near the center with a white towel around his waist), who is the local evangelist for the Silk Grass and Dangriga churches of Christ.  Our mornings consisted of various forms of outreach and our afternoons were filled with service projects, children’s ministry and equipping bible classes.  Each night, we had a gospel meeting and by the end of the week, eight precious souls gave their lives to Christ!  It was so much fun to head to the beach for another baptism and have a “welcome circle” for our newest convert.

If you’d like a second opinion about the value of such a trip, I suggest you contact Joseph Pauley (pictured on the left with white t-shirt and sun glasses).  He’s been preaching at the Belle Church of Christ in West Virginia for twenty years and has always wanted to go on a mission trip but didn't know where to start.  He learned about DiscipleTrips in January of 2017 and was on this trip to Belize five months later—along with four young ladies from his congregation.  He plans to return next summer and bring others with him to continue the work he started.  Maybe you should join him!  If you’d like more information, visit our website at www.discipletrips.com.
