August is typically the month most academic institutions make preparations for a new school year. This is true for Sunset, but this year will be different without one of our coworkers Brandi L. Kendall. On August 3, 2019, Brandi received his reward.
For 37 years, Brandi faithfully served as a minister to the gospel of Christ. During his life of missions, he and Penny taught, encouraged, mentored, and loved people from all over the world. Brandi and his family lived and worked throughout the United States, Russia, Estonia, and Singapore, and went on countless short-term evangelistic trips to Eastern Europe, Russia, Central America, and Asia.
As the Director of the Singapore International Bible Institute, Brandi provided the vision and passion that made the school a premiere ministry training program. The years preceding his death he served as Dean of Ministry Training Southeast Asia for the Sunset International Bible Institute, in Lubbock, Texas. He was a wise teacher, compassionate counselor, empowering mentor, constant student, and faithful friend.
